Dirt Is Good

Scientists have proved that exposure to garden dirt makes you happier by boosting your serotonin levels - the brain's "happiness" chemical. What are you waiting for? Get out there and get your hands dirty!

Makes sense ! Getting dirty is usually the end product of hard work. So hard work -- job well done -- feelings of satisfaction.

You'll be happy to know then that mine are filthy! I've been sorting out some self watering pots from last summer and the compost in them is all under my nails.....as I'm going back out shortly I won't sort them out until later!
