I'd love to go and see the exhibition Quilts 1700-2010 at the Victoria and Albert museum in London. It's on until July 4th, maybe I'll be able to get down there some time before then.
I'm not sure if my comment posted before the computer crashed... or not, so, I'll try again.
IF you get down there for this, please, PLEASE pretty please put some images to post up here... please?
Also, I found this cool Blog written by the curator that documents the event's beginnings and how it was set up: http://www.vam.ac.uk/things-to-do/blogs/quilts-hidden-histories-untold-stories/home
I've just spent the weekend in London, and the exhibition is also being hosted by Libertys store - they have the quilts hanging over the sides of the third floor gallery, and they look fantastic - and there are more in the shop windows. When I was coming home through Victoria train station, there was a roped off area where three ladies were doing patchwork and embroidery and giving out brochures about the exhibition.
