That's a large key you have there! ;-)I suppose you could always paint it to make it look like a quail egg?
Where did you find it?.. if it was in amongst other eggs in an accessible place, do you think you've got a cuckoo in your area?..
Smallest egg my Warrens have laid weighed exactly half an ounce. It had a good shell and there was a little yolk inside - I had expected it to just be eggwhite inside. The biggest has been three and a quarter ounces. Ouch!
Or maybe cover it in tinfoil and sequins, and call it 'Faberge for the thrifty'?
